Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival & Into the Bush

   Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, transfer to Arusha with a short rest stop, then on to Tarangire National Park in time for an afternoon game drive as the heat softens and animals move back toward the river. Overnight: Simba Tarangire Tented Camp.

2. Day 2

   Tarangire in Full

   A full-day game drive deep into Tarangire, tracking elephant herds along the Silale and Larmakau swamps with a picnic lunch in the bush. Overnight: Mama Dunia Lodge.

3. Day 3

   The Ngorongoro Crater

   Climb the crater rim for your first views over the caldera, then descend for a full game drive — lion, buffalo, hippo, and black rhino are all realistic sightings in a single morning. Continue toward Central Serengeti in the afternoon. Overnight: Kumbukumbu Luxury Camp, Central Serengeti.

4. Day 4

   Serengeti — Endless Plains

   A full-day game drive across the Seronera Valley's classic predator territory — resident lion prides, leopard along riverine tree lines, and cheetah on the open plains, with a picnic lunch in the bush. Overnight: Embalakai Authentic Camp.

5. Day 5

   Rest, Reset, and Onward to Karatu

   A deliberately unhurried morning in camp — sleep in, relax, or join an optional short nature walk — before an afternoon drive back through the Ngorongoro highlands to Karatu, the 'safari capital' at the foot of the crater. Overnight: African Safari Lodge, Karatu.

6. Day 6

   Hadzabe Cultural Encounter

   An early departure to Lake Eyasi for a genuine cultural exchange with the Hadzabe — a traditional hunting excursion, bow-making, and fire-starting techniques — with an optional visit to a nearby Datoga blacksmith village. Overnight: Serval Wildlife Lodge.

7. Day 7

   Final Activities & Departure

   A final relaxed morning activity — a short walk, birding, or simply enjoying the lodge grounds — before the scenic drive back to Kilimanjaro International Airport, timed to your departure flight.
