Overview
\\n
Often overlooked in favor of the bigger northern parks, Arusha National Park is a compact, beautifully varied reserve right on Arusha\’s doorstep โ encompassing the Momella Lakes, the montane forests and open grassland of the Ngurdoto Crater area, and the slopes of Mount Meru, Tanzania\’s second-highest peak.
\\n
It\’s one of the few parks in northern Tanzania where walking safaris are the main attraction rather than an occasional add-on, and its proximity to Arusha and Kilimanjaro Airport makes it an excellent first or last stop on a trip.
