Itineraries
Day 1
Arusha Arrival day
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) if you are coming from Zanzibar our driver will meet you with a private transfer. You will be transferred to a comfortable mid-range lodge in Arusha area for overnight. Rest and recover from your flight. Overnight: Mid-range Lodge Sanna boutique Tulia Boutique.
Day 2
Tarangire National park
Morning pick-up and drive to Tarangire National Park (famous for large elephant herds and baobab trees). Afternoon game drive. Overnight: Mid-range Lodge near Karatu Ngorongoro corridor, or African safari karatu.
Day 3
Ngorongoro crater
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Excellent chance for Big Five sightings. Overnight: Mid-range Lodge in central Serengeti Embalakai or similar.
Day 4
Serengeti Full day
Full day in the Central part of Serengeti searching for the Big cats, evening overnight North part of Serengeti.
Day 5
Full day North serengeti
Full day in the prime migration zone. Search for wildebeest herds and possible river crossing action. Overnight: Mid-range Tented Camp – Northern Serengeti / Kogatende area.
Day 6
Full day in North serengeti
Another full day tracking the Great Migration, Mara River crossings, and predator activity. Overnight: Mid-range Tented Camp – Northern Serengeti
Day 7
Serengeti to Arusha – Departure
Morning game drive, then drive back to Arusha. You will be dropped at Arusha Airport or your lodge for your departure flight (or Zanzibar extension

The best time is Late August to October 2026. This is peak migration season when millions of wildebeest and zebras move through the Northern Serengeti, offering the highest chance of seeing dramatic Mara River crossings.
