Your 3-day itinerary

Every day can be adjusted to your pace and to where the herds are. Your written quote confirms the final plan.

  1. Day 1
    Arusha or Moshi to Karatu

Your driver-guide collects you from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi after breakfast and talks you through the plan. Drive to Karatu (about 3 to 4 hours) along the edge of the Great Rift Valley, through Maasai country and past Lake Manyara. Arrive with time to settle in, rest and get ready for the Serengeti.

Climb through the Ngorongoro Highlands and pass Oldupai Gorge, famous for early human fossils, then drop onto the open Serengeti plains with game viewing all the way to Yellow Barbet Tented Camp, Ikoma. Picnic lunch on the road. You may well spot your first lions, zebra and wildebeest before you arrive.
