Your options

Private transfer from us

Your driver meets you at arrivals with a name sign. We agree the price before you travel and plan around your flight number.

Hotel shuttle

Many hotels offer pickup. Ask when you book and confirm your arrival time with them.

Taxi at the airport

Taxis wait outside arrivals. Agree the fare before you get in and carry small US dollar bills or shillings.

Public bus or daladala

The cheapest option, but crowded and awkward with luggage. We do not recommend it for late arrivals.

Arrival checklist

  • Visa: most visitors can buy a visa on arrival, around $50 in cash, and some can apply for an e-visa online. Check the official immigration website before you fly.
  • Yellow fever certificate: needed if you arrive from a country with yellow fever risk.
  • Cash: bring clean US dollar bills for visas and tips. ATMs are easier to find in Arusha and Moshi town.
  • Phone: buy a local SIM for maps and WhatsApp.

Frequently asked questions

What if my flight is delayed?

Share your flight number when you book so your driver can plan around delays.

Is it safe to travel from the airport at night?

The main road is busy and generally fine, but we suggest a pre-arranged pickup for late arrivals so you are not negotiating after a long flight.

Can I start my safari the day I land?

Yes, if you land early in the day. Otherwise we suggest resting for a night first.
